This combines two Saunders LPs — Heavy Turbulence and Fire Up — on a single CD. The band on most tracks is the Saunders-Garcia-Kahn-Vitt-Tom Fogerty lineup that was playing in Bay Area clubs in the early '70s, with Garcia on guitar and occasional lead vocals. Jerry's best work is on "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" and the old Doc Pomus tune "Lonely Avenue." There's also a moving instrumental version of John Lennon's "Imagine."
